One Acts

My Drama II class performed One Acts this past weekend. Here's some photos of the fun!

Bull in a China Shop
About a bunch of old ladies who kill each other off to get the handsome detective who lives across the street to come calling!

After Hours
Mannequins come to life at night and take on two burglars who are robbing the clothing shop.

The Pot Boiler
A behind the scenes look at a rehearsal and how a director/writer can really make life tough.

The Ugly Duckling
Princess who is thought to be ugly disguises herself as the maid when her husband to be comes to meet her. Twist-the prince does the same thing so they're both playing servants!

As Promised-More Seussical Photos!

Seussical opens on Friday! Yea! The cast is ready to go. We've had a great tech because the cast was so prepared (despite their constant chatter!).

For Mare and Paint Opinions

I need to decide what colors to paint the tree for Seussical. I need a color for the canopy/leaves, trunk, bucket, ladder, base. Here it is and a picture of the entire set. Colors used so far in the set:
light purple
dark purple
light blue
dark blue
yellow
green
red

Mare-here's the dress I was talking about.

Seussical Photo Shoot!

We did a photo shoot this morning. The costumes are AMAYZING (I think!). Here is a selection from my camera. I used Thing's camera 1/2 the time but don't have them on my computer yet; I'll post some of those later.

Seussical Rehearsals

We are currently working on Seussical. I did it my first year of teaching and LOVED it so decided to do it again-this time we doing bigger and better costumes, makeup, and choreography. The best thing about this round is I have 4 assistant directors/choreographers. I get to sit around and observe a lot. So far I've like most of what they've done! My stress level is WAY lower than it was for Peter Pan. Besides that, the cast is doing a FANTASTIC job. It's going to be one fun show!!
