Quilt Making

My friend Mark is a maniac! His mind is always thinking-going one million miles an hour. He constantly has some scheme or plan to make the world a better place. A couple of months ago he decided to make 30 quilts for the United Way and then we were going to get free tickets to Disney Land. Well, nothing happened for a while but then one day he called and said, "Mel, let's make those quilts!" So we did! We bought all the stuff, gathered at my house, invited people over, and began sewing. We did 15 on that Saturday and then he finished the rest the next day at his house-30 lap quilts! Great project-the only downside is it was too late to get tickets to Disneyland (sad day; I haven't been since I was 8 year old).

We did the blankets this year for Disney Land Tickets. It was a lot of fun. We only had to do 1 blanket a person. We only live 2 hours away from Disney Land so we go every year. Lots of fun!!! Even if you don't get tickets, it is still a great service.

Can it really be a "scheme" if it makes the world a better place? ;-) Love ya Mel!
